Louisville Wedding in Spring at Cedar Ridge | Rachel and Brennan

Rachel and Brennan’s Louisville wedding at Cedar Ridge back in May was my first wedding in a post-vaccine world. The couple kept the guest list short (only 36 people!) and the entire event was outside, but it just felt so amazing to see maskless guests mingling again! I’ll admit too that it felt amazing to be able to work and speak to guests without wearing a mask myself.

Springtime is always gorgeous for a Louisville wedding, but the weather is a gamble. Rachel and Brennan planned everything outside and we lucked out with an absolutely flawless spring day. On top of it all, this was right on the edge of the cicada invasion and there wasn’t a single cicada in sight!

Every planned detail about this wedding was beautiful. The rose and peony bouquet, the layered tulle-and-lace gown, the personalized cigar station – it was a perfect culmination of over a year of planning (during a pandemic no less)! Congratulations Rachel and Brennan!
