The Gardencourt wedding venue was a stunning backdrop for this 10-year wedding anniversary photo session. Located on the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary’s main campus, Gardencourt weddings feature elegant gardens, a 14-acre estate, and a beautiful manor house. The manor’s sunroom has floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto a beautifully-landscaped courtyard garden; all of it idyllic for wedding photography.
I photographed Ian and Andrea’s wedding ten years ago in Chicago on one of the busiest days of my life. Ian is my brother, and I was his wedding photographer, bridesmaid, and I sang in the ceremony and reception. I loved getting the chance to revisit a few of the poses, and that they brought along my niece and nephew Gia and Jackson. A 10-year anniversary photoshoot is a perfect excuse to document the whole family in style!

I have been wanting to shoot a Gardencourt wedding for years; it holds a special place in my heart because my dad had an office in the Gardencourt house when I was a kid. He was a professor at the seminary, and I spent hours playing in the house and gardens after school, waiting for him to finish up work and go home. I know all of the beautiful spots for photos, and I finally got to put that knowledge to use!
