Vibrant Queer Wedding Inspiration at Louisville Thoroughbred Society
Happy Pride! I love celebrating with LGBTQIA couples all year long, but it was especially fun that Green Wedding Shoes featured this gorgeous two-groom Kentucky wedding this month! The beautiful Louisville Thoroughbred Society wedding venue offered a perfect backdrop for these two grooms to celebrate in downtown Louisville. The idea and inspiration behind the design and color palette for this Louisville wedding was to push gender fluid wedding inspiration beyond using the couple’s wardrobe to signal gender fluidity. We also wanted to feature Kentucky wedding photography in an urban setting, and Louisville Thoroughbred Society is located downtown on Main Street. Finally, we wanted the color palette to be vibrant without using an explicitly rainbow theme.
Ashley Heleringer of Heleringer Events planned and designed this event down to the finest personalized detail, and every vendor was a dream to work with. Here’s the full list of the wedding vendors:
Heleringer Events (planning/design), Leslie Rodriguez Photography (photos), Botanica (florals), The Fenley Studio (beauty), Sweet by Simone (cake), Crushed Ice Catering (cocktails and catering), La Tavola Linen (linen rentals), KY Straight Ice (specialty floral ice), Louisville Thoroughbred Society (venue), Bryan and Gavin Carpio Goad (couple), In Good Company Rentals (tabletop).
