Cozy Fireside Winter Wedding at Oxmoor Farm
Suzanne and Nicholas chose to say their vows inside the spectacular library for their Oxmoor Farm wedding in Louisville, Kentucky. Despite the chilly temperature and hazy day, the library was warm thanks to a roaring fire in the center of the room and beautifully colorful with green shelves and multicolored leather-bound books from floor to ceiling throughout. Suzanne wore an elegant emerald velvet dress with bell sleeves and carried a bright, colorful bouquet to add even more color to the mix. We thought we’d have a relatively dark room for the ceremony thanks to the clouds but right at the last minute the sun came through the window during their vows, illuminating the couple alone while the rest of the room remained in shadow. It was a dramatic, gorgeous moment and I loved photographing such a special ceremony.
Despite the wintry weather and lack of blooming flora, Oxmoor Farm was still on display with its beautiful grounds and hedgerows, which are green all year around. Any weddings at Oxmoor Farm is so much fun to photograph because there isn’t a bad angle anywhere on the grounds; the architecture, landscaping, and interior is all stunning. Suzanne and Nicholas enjoyed a walk around the grounds for their portraits after the ceremony, and ended the day by sharing tea with their closest friends and family. Big Day Events planned a beautiful tea party wedding reception before the guests departed for dinner at Wiltshire.
